History

Created in 2016 in São Paulo, Brazil, Speñglish was born from an as-yet-unnamed attempt by the journalist Karla Tamarozzi to merge her two knowledge bases: journalism and languages.

The project took shape, and in January 2017 it was officially launched as an English – Spanish – Portuguese translation company specializing in serving communication and news agencies.

As a major advantage, the company relied on its experience with journalism and the world of global corporate communications.

From 2020 onwards, the company has been working on international relations projects and producing global content directly in English and Spanish. In 2024, the business expands through the establishment of a branch in Toronto, Canada, focused on North American clients.
